We are an Italian logistics company, specialised in the automotive, motorcycling and spare parts sectors.
Our growth has been marked by investments in new technologies and a special focus on the customer. The requests of our customers, together with the study of new market trends, have driven us to continuously refine and update our offer.

1938 - 1979
Company foundation and development
1938
The Founding
Our history began in 1938 thanks to Cesare Bertani, our founder. Later, the business was taken over by his sons: Guglielmo, Mario and Renato Bertani.
1938-1950
From goods supply to livestock transport
In these years, the activity was linked to the supply of local merchants and, later, to the transport of livestock for the Montichiari market.
'50s
The entrance into the automotive business and the construction of the first car transporter
We begin to specialise in the automotive sector, linking up with companies such as OM Automotive. Also in these years, we contribute to the design and construction of the first car transporter.
1973-1979
Transformation into a limited company and new headquarters
In 1973, Bertani Trasporti became a limited company. The company’s headquarters are moved from the centre of Castiglione delle Stiviere to Via Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour in 1979. We thus acquire new yards for the storage of vehicles.

Company Expansion at National and European Level
'90s
Expansion in Italy and abroad
After flourishing years, we decide to expand in Italy, with the opening of the Verona depot, and abroad, where we open two headquarters: Bertani Trasporti GmbH Deutschland, in Germany, and Bertani Poland Sp.z.o.o, in Poland.
2015
The acquisition of Elia S.p.A
The acquisition of Elia S.p.A allows us to grow further, expanding the number of yards and our customer base. We thus become one of the leading Italian and international players in the supply of logistics services for the automotive sector.

The entrance into the rail transport market
In March, we entered the rail transport market with our own wagons. A sector that promotes sustainability and which we believe is growing.

Today, we are the logistics partner of some of the most important car brands. Our ambition is to continue to grow and evolve together with the world of mobility. We are preparing for a future in which we will enter the market for the recovery and recycling of electric cars.
